FireDETEC Dry chemical Fire Suppression Systems

The FireDETEC R107 Dry Chemical System is a complete pre-engineered system designed to protect vehicle engine compartments of all sizes, with only 4 kg of agent needed for a standard 4 m3 compartment. It is fully automatic and requires no power supply to activate. Detection and actuation rely on a proprietary continuous linear pneumatic detection tube, which is more flexible, more space-efficient and more cost-effective than mechanical or electronic alternatives, and is installed inside the vehicle close to the potential point of fire outbreak.

The system is UNECE R107 approved and is used on on-road M2 and M3 passenger transport vehicles, including Class I for standing passengers, Class II urban buses and Class III seated passengers and coaches. The extinguishing agent is fluorine-free, has no special storage or handling requirements and is generally safe for people and the environment. The system is also suitable for other applications such as flammable chemicals, storage areas, partially open areas, waste storage and chemical storage, which are not covered by the UNECE R107 approval.
