The FireDETEC fume hood system is a complete pre-engineered fire suppression system for individual fume hoods, designed to protect fume cabinets and laboratory equipment. Everything needed is supplied together in one box. The system is fully automatic: it detects and suppresses fire on its own and requires no power supply.
The detection tube is installed directly inside the fume cabinet, close to where a fire could break out, so a fire is detected quickly. UL and FM approved versions of the system are available, and this pre-engineered technology is already protecting thousands of installations worldwide. The typical application is laboratories and laboratory equipment.
