FireDETEC is a complete pre-engineered fire suppression system for local applications such as high-risk machinery, equipment and special applications, supplied with everything needed in one box. It is fully automatic and requires no power supply. The flexible pneumatic detection tube is installed directly inside the individual equipment, close to the critical components, and in service is pressurised with dry nitrogen at 16 bar; this pneumatic approach is more flexible, more space-efficient and more cost-effective than mechanical or electromechanical alternatives.
If a fire breaks out, the heat or flame impingement bursts the pressurised tube at the hottest spot. The sudden depressurisation actuates a pressure differential valve, which instantly floods the enclosure with extinguishing agent, so the fire is suppressed moments after it began and damage and downtime are minimised. Three different suppression agents can be selected, and configurations cover CNC machines, fume cabinets and both direct and indirect electrical cabinet systems. UL and FM approved versions are available.
