Foam Fire Protection System — manufacturer product image

Foam-based fire suppression systems are particularly effective in areas containing grease, such as restaurant kitchens, or fuel oil, such as vehicle engines. When triggered, the system spreads a layer of foam over the protected equipment, and the foam fights the fire in three ways: it excludes oxygen by forming a barrier, covers the surface to prevent the release of vapour, and cools the fuel by absorbing heat. Even a thin layer prevents reignition. The systems use no electricity and no moving parts; detection is pneumatic, with the heat of a flame-up bursting the tube at its hottest spot.

For kitchens, the TRIPLESTAR system uses fluorine-free FireDETEC F/K agent in greasy areas such as deep fryers and grills in kitchens, canteens and restaurants, where water cannot be used on class K grease fires; the agent is biodegradable, easy to clean and allows a quick return to service. For vehicles, COMPACT LINE uses RX-FF1 foam, formulated with solvents, hydrocarbon surfactants and additives and free of organohalogen compounds. RX-FF1 is readily biodegradable, forms a blanket that isolates the fuel from oxygen, suits class B fires and can be used down to 0 C.

Tell us the protected volume and we will size the system together

The dimensions of the space, the equipment inside it and whether people are present — those three are enough. We come back with an agent recommendation, the system scope and the price.
