Halocarbon Fire Suppression Systems — manufacturer product image

Halocarbon fire suppression systems use clean agents such as FK-5-1-12, which extinguish fire by absorbing heat and reducing oxygen levels without compromising breathable air. When a fire is detected the system discharges automatically and suppresses it before it spreads. FK-5-1-12 is electrically non-conductive, non-corrosive and leaves no residue after a discharge; it has zero ozone depletion potential, a five-day atmospheric lifetime and a global warming potential below 1.

Two families use the agent: the RX5112 total flooding system for closed rooms such as server rooms, and the FireDETEC local application system, which offers FK-5-1-12 as well as HFC-227ea for equipment such as CNC machines and electrical cabinets. RX5112 is UL, FM and VdS approved, and its high-performance design requires fewer cylinders than other systems, reducing the storage footprint in data centres, control centres and archives. Cylinders come in different sizes, the system operates within NOAEL limits, and nothing needs cleaning before operations resume.

Tell us the protected volume and we will size the system together

The dimensions of the space, the equipment inside it and whether people are present — those three are enough. We come back with an agent recommendation, the system scope and the price.
